totally agree. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, etc. are all looked up to for their money and stupidity. society has taken a moral blow to the head with celebrities. why respect and worship someone with no values, no morals or principles, and DEFINITELY no talent? we need to look up to scholars, doctors, and scientists: not attention-starved slutty celebrities.

Celebs have always been worshiped the way they are now. The thing is that back in time they had publicists that covered up all they crazy stories because it wasn't as popular as it is now to go to rehab and live such sorid lives. I don't see any less value placed on people who accomplish things than there ever was in history. The crazier the story the more the headlines, life has always been as such. If you don't want to hear about it change the channel or don't read the celeb mags. There are plenty of shows and magazines directed toward more substainsal people and events.

If there was a picture of Jennifer Aniston on every channel on tv broadcasting 24/7 I think I'd still watch as much tv as I watch right now, so my answer would be no, I don't see a problem. At least is not the news, those are depressing.

Yes, I agree. I think actor's should just work, pop up when a movie releases - promote it on the tv shows and come out for awards. And all these celebs who don't do anything - IE PARIS? - go away!

I agree with you 100%. Even though one might say "Oh well I don't care", other people's obsession affects us as well. I'm sick of seeing Anna Nicole on the news, there are worse things happening to people right now.

I think it's a shame we know more about Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, and countless other stars then we do about oh lets see our President or our Congressmen/women. We care more about who said what to who then we do about who bomb where and why. It's really a shame.

Cinderella guy positioned issues in perspective. It made me experience inspired ans greatfull fo the flaws I even have. "My call is invoice W." is nice if the concern is ingesting. "sparkling and Sober" if Its drugs. i'm no longer being presumtuous, yet when I felt like that approximately existence, it replaced into via alcohol and medicines i replaced into ingesting.

It is scary how much time, energy, money, and attention is paid either watching or covering or worshipping them.
