For the world's "most LIBERAL tax, investment and residency laws."
Is this to avoid paying back the 2.7 billion dollars it stole from the US Government?
Is this the apex of the Military-Industrial Complex growing stronger and bigger than the US Government?

Will the Bush family and Cheney family still get paid from Halibutron?

First of all Haliburton couldn't steal the money from the Government, it had to deal with the government itself. Liberals trust the government so much with their money then wonder where it goes? Trash like this doesn't surprise me. The only way a Corporation or any business could use laws to get what they want is if the people allow the Government into the market place. As far as them leaving America to avoid taxation, it just proves even further that no matter how much taxes you impose, the rich will find away to avoid them. And the middle and poor class will be the ones to clean it up.

WOW!!! How slow can some people be? When Haliburton was making its most money off the federal govenment, Bill Clinton was president. How does that help George Bush? And blaming Cheney for the double dealing from Haliburton during the Gulf war, makes alot of sense since he has no chair at Haliburton since he became VP and therefore can make no business decisions or profit directly from any dealings the company has (as a VP his money is in a blind trust so he has no idea where his stocks lie or in what company, as is Bush).

The oddest thing I read in the last week was that George Soros just recently spent $62.2 million for 2 million shares of Halliburton. Why would he give so much money to organizations like Move On, who constantly hammer Halliburton only to buy a large amount of stock? Or did he orchestrate it to lower the price? Did George have anything to do with this?

There is no evidence that Halliburton has stolen anything. No-bid contracts were awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers for good reason (that reason being that no other corporation in the world could do the job that Halliburton does in Iraq). If you disagree, please name one and I will be pleased to advise why your choice is not valid. Neither the Bush family nor the Cheney family gets paid by Halliburton. Cheney may or may not still own shares of Halliburton in his blind trust, but if he does it is entirely legal.

I don't know about the tax stuff, but, the powers that be in Dubai are making a concerted effort to attract captial. They know exactly when they will run out of oil, probably within 10 years. They are doing just about everything they can to diversify.

This is news to me. I'll have to check this out and get back to you. I really don't have a problem with Halliburton leaving the country though. I believe they are as unAmerican as can be anyway.
Crooks always head for the border when the heat is on.
I'm becoming more and more of an isolationist. Globalization is killing my country. I can foresee a future when corporations govern this world and there will be no representative democracies anymore. I never, in my life, thought that I'd see people defending a CEO who flat out says that his loyalties are not to the USA. But here we are.

They're primarily an oil services company.
The US is cutting down on Gulf of Mexico drilling.
I wouldn't be surprised if Transocean moves too.

This company has been so demonized, if I were them I'd leave too!
They will still fall under U.S. law. They're an international company opening a new office. I'm sure Democrats are going to go crazy over this.

yet another answer as to why we are in Iraq, the administration of oil in that u . s . a .. What angers me is that our protection rigidity (troops) are sacrificing their lives for a lie. I understand that's a diffusion yet I additionally understand this is all approximately money at our cost.

This is what happens when liberals try to impose heavy taxes on corporations in order to pay for their failed social policies. The corporations move to areas where they can make greater profits. Business exists to make money, not to provide charity.
