When i am starting my computer, it doesnt show me the desktop, it opens MY COMPUTER.?

Go to START/All Programs/Startup. You should find a short cut to My Computer in the list. Delete the short cut from the list.
If My Computer is filling the whole screen, you can click the Restore box in the upper right corner (looks like two pieces of paper over lapping) to show what else is there. If you have Vista, this may not apply
