3/5 compromise: Slaves would be counted as 3/5 in terms of population. The Southern states wanted them to count fully toward population to give them more representation, the north contended that as slaves they shouldn't count in terms of representation.

Connecticut compromise: Mixed the Virginia and New Jersey plan to make the Senate 2 votes per state, while the House is proportional to population.

To parrotsandgrog's good answer I would add the compromise to propose a "Bill of Rights" as the first order of business under the new Congress.

There were no compromises. It was either the Constitution or British rule.
