I had a thought that maybe the ones who did cry out the end of days were simply the ones whom were martyred to "prevent" the apocalypse.

The apocaslypse will be all-encompassing because it will in some way effect every human being that ver set foot on this planet. It's the time when, at its very culmination, the Earth willbe cleansed of all wickedness and those that are truly following the path that Christ laid out will be spared the horrible destruction that awaits the wicked.
After the cleansing, all those that have died will be resurrected (again, following in Chrsist's footsteps) to be judged according to their deeds in mortality and receieve their eternal reward or damnation.
So we see that everyone will be affected by the apocolypse, but it's only through our personal choice to follow Christ that we can be saved.
Christ suffered for each and every one of us individaully, so that if we followed Him, we'd all be saved. His suffering was deeply personal, but at the same time universal.

I don't understand your question. The two are completely unrelated. It's like saying, "If Ford makes the best sport-utility vehicle, then why is American Airlines the largest airline in the world?"

If this is an attempt to rile me up because I'm a Christian, it didn't work.

IF??????????? HE IS my personal saviour WITHOUT HIM i'm nothing. I think Paul said it best about the end times " to be alive in the body is to live for Christ to be dead in the body is to be face to face with Christ! compared to eternity a lifetime is only a blink of an eye! Even Job the suffering servant says " I know my redeemer liveth!" So here's my question to u---------What are you going to do about Jesus?

That's when He is supposed to "save" those worth saving, and evacuate us to heaven before the mother ship blows.

I don't understand your theory, but it doesn't sound feasible anyway. Jesus will save all of us who endear ourselves truly to Him by bringing us into His land of Heaven.
