Awe, jeeze. I wish I could say that they grow up, but I think a great deal of them enjoy it to the core and carry that same attitude into adulthood. I have worked with too many people who still have the click mentality of an 8th grader and who LOVE to talk $hit and be as mean as possible to anyone they deem inadequate. Too bad. It sucks the fun right out of life.

Some bullies 'change' and some stay the same as adults. The 'term' bully is put on a child who 'pushes other kids into behavior' they wouldn't normally 'do' by themselves ... but I think it is a 'big mistake' to put 'all bullies' into a bag and 'shake them up' and expect them to 'be exactly the same.' If you are the 'victim' of a PARTICULAR bully, then you will 'know' that it's not ALL BULLIES you are 'afraid of' ... it's that ONE PARTICULAR BULLY. It's much easier to "change the behavior of one child who 'bullies' others" than it is to just 'call him/her a bully and not do anything to change that behavior' ...

Typically, they remain bullies their whole life until someone really calls them on their behavior in a way that gets them into trouble. I've taught a class on bullying in the workplace and I find that most of the real bullies in the class don't get it. It isn't until their poor behavior is addressed or they get fired/punished/etc. before they finally look at themselves in the mirror. One can't stop doing something wrong if they don't realize what they are doing is wrong.

Some of them yes, some of them no. I know one guy, we went to the same kindergarten and he was bully since he was 5. Now he's 19 and haven't changed yet. I hope he will, because he'd done LOTS of bad things...
