my friend asked me today if you fall down the stairs r you more likley to have a miscarage?

Actually, it is never good to fall down the stairs.

Yes and no. I think that anytime you're in an accident, then you can be at an increased risk for a miscarriage, but even if you were to have a miscarriage after falling down the stairs doesn't mean that that is what necessarily caused it. No matter how you have a miscarriage, you are going to find a way to blame yourself, but don't. The OB doctors themselves can not be 100% sure on what causes a miscarriage, so don't you try to do it either.-Good luck!!

It is obviously possible....but more LIKELY to have a child with some physical problem. If she is pregnant and fell down stairs...she needs to contact her ob and have them check her out...
The question is how many stairs also...what did she land on? Cement? Carpet. What part of her BODY did she hit?

It's possible, but it's never a good thing to fall down stairs. Pregnant or not.

It could, just like any trauma or stress to the mother. I hope your friend isn't thinking about doing something like that on purpose. She should talk to an adult she trusts if she is pregnant and scared.

Well, it has happened yes but for the most part babies are pretty safe. Meaning you'd get hurt but baby might be just fine. If you're thinking about doing something stupid - don't

Well obviously...any trauma to your body directly affects your baby. I'm not saying it's guarenteed to happen but it is mopre likely. See a doctor immediately.

well depends, Usually you can tell if you miscarry cause you'll start bleeding.ethier that day or a few days later or maybe even a week later, but really depends How hard she fell.

i would think because that would be trauma...especially if you fall the wrong way...not that there is a right way to fall....just tell your friend to be very careful.....especially if pregnant
