My betta has a white spot on his upper left side. Im pretty sure its not ich because hes been in there for a couple weeks and nothing has happend to my other fish. Its not gotton bigger or smaller, but the color has gotten whiter along with his yellow skin ( color enhancing flakes). He also has a little knot ( bump) on his right side just before where his fin starts. While im asking these questions, atn the end of his middle fin, he has little clear strands that turn to red as they near the rest of the fin. Is this a very sick betta or a VERY unique one? PLEASE HELP ANYBODY!!!

Whithout seeing the fish in person or a very good quality photo, I would assume the color on his side and on the fin to be natural color pattern that are becoming more noticable as the fish has settled in and gotten a better diet. White, or opaque is common in bettas and will form a spot that covers the color underneath. It probably isn't any whiter exaxtly, it probably just looks so next to the improved yellow. The red in the fin: You mentioned that the fish is basically yellow. Yellow is in the red family of colors and yellow fish often have a touch of red in a few places. The most common places to see this touch of red is in the fins.

The little bump could be any one of several things, the vast majority of which aren't dangerous or treatable. Again without seeing the fish I would assume it's one of those and will not be a problem for the fish.

It sounds like you have a little bit of both. It sounds like he has an fungal infection(I'm dealing with the white spot) You can get anti fungal medications from your local pet store. The bump or knot that you see can be a couple of things. Hard to say without seeing it but the worst it could be is some type of parasite underneath the scales, that is very unlikely mind you. What is most likely is, is the site of an old fungal infection that didn't heal evenly and has made a bump over the scar tissue. The red sounds like coloring from here which may have come out with the color enhancers(they mostly enhance only red and yellow colors)
