I read somewhere that you can shake it and if it rattles its probably fried. I need to check my ABS relay in my 93 Buick Skylark.

Not sure about the shaking thing. Continuity can be checked with a multimeter. One way should be open, the other closed. Good luck.

No you would be confusing that with a lightbulb.

If you remove the relay there are two coil wires and 2 or 3 contact wires. the contact wires are close together and the coil are usually on corners. so if you take the 12 volts from the battery you can activate the relay. it will click. ifi it sparks then you have the wrong terminals.....Fairly easy way to check
