Live with it if it's blocked they are doing it for your own good and theirs to protect their equipment from being infected and
getting sued.

You can't. If your school is using a program like WebSense, it's a highly sophisticated program to stop you from visiting those sites not okayed by the school.
WebSense, by the way, isn't just a program. If it were, there'd be a way to get around it. But it's more! It's a physical device attached to the primary web server for your school and that's one tough cookie to crack. Good luck with that!

You can download and install firefox portable on a flash drive, and browse using that. It won't make any changes on the registry, so it should not be blocked. Also, as long as the website has no viruses, it shouldn't be blocked by the network's central firewall.

That's mroe than likely against your internet usage policy which will get you banned from the network. Also, it will also require some serious hacking skills, which will probarbly get you expelled and facing some serious criminal charges. My opinion: Don't even think about it.

You can't (you don't have the access to lift the block), but you can proxy around the block.
Try these sites:
www.browsecop.com
www.confusedyeti.com
Usually public shcool admins are working with second hand stuff, so these sites are usually wide open. Just go to one and type in the site you want to visit on it. Presto!
