This morning after I got home from dropping my kids off at school I seen this little boy probley about 4 years old right beside the street getting ready to get a toy that had gotten in the road. I looked around and didn't see an adult so I told him I would get it. After I got it for him his mom walked out. I live on a really busy street. I just could not believe that she wasn't watching him

You have done a wonderful thing today. You might have saved the child's life. And yes, it is shocking to see so many children not properly supervised. Those stories are on the local news all the time about children wandering off. Bless you.

Yes all the time!!! In the neighborhood where my mom lives in especially. She is working on moving out and I dont blame her!! I used to live there too for many years when I still lived at home. Kids running around in the streets everywhere!! And some arent fully dressed! The parents are too busy either cooking meth inside or fighting with other neighbors and the cops are being called out. Best place to have a scanner as well if you live out there. My mom's scanner stays busy all day and night. Pretty interesting stuff. But it is totally sad that these losers have children! I have to be careful driving through there to get to my moms street. Im always afraid Im going to hit a kid everytime! I guess this is where a call to DHS would be needed but there are just too many houses up and down that area. At least my moms street is the one quiet street through there. Still too close to all that bullcrap though!

Certain parts of Los Angele's are like that. Mothers not even realizing what could happen. Maybe I watch to much TV but being a father I've always been overly protective of my kids never to let them roam around free without any supervision.

Yes,I used to live by people that had a little girl my daughter's age and she would wonder around the neighborhood at all time of day and the parents wouldn't even know where she was at.

that's a no longer ordinary question. I somewhat have 2 teenage sons, 17 and quickly to be 14. Now while i grew to become into becoming up the ingesting age grew to become into 18 and long before i grew to become into 18 it grew to become into no longer uncommon to have a pitcher of wine with a kinfolk dinner. Now at one time in my existence i grew to become right into a heavy drinker and recently i do no longer drink in any respect. a number of my acquaintances have become subject drinkers and a pair have killed themselves with alcohol. I blended because of the fact I denying my boys an grownup excitement that under my supervision may be maturely relish before they're 21. yet on the different hand alcohol may be a unfavourable drug and you will possibly be able to't constantly tell who that's going to harm. the two my boys have promised to refrain from alcohol till they're 21 yet i'm specific issues are not going to be that straightforward. stunning now neither one among them would not seem that involved by ingesting. while they question me approximately issues like this I do provide them undemanding solutions and because they do no longer see me, my spouse and maximum of acquaintances ingesting; they sense you are able to have fun without it. So a pitcher of wine at a kinfolk dinner? -probable specific. might I enable them to have some beers at supervised teen social gathering? -probable no. i'm specific because of the fact like I pronounced the venture hasn't arise yet.

Yes - my sisters neighbors two children are NEVER supervised. And I reported it to social services when the little boy was running around completely naked outside in 50 degree weather.

Oh God yes, and I freak out every time. I usually go to the park daily, and walk...and I pass by a playground. From time to time, I see small children playing on the...what are those things called...those huge playsets with slides and such. Anyway, small children always look like they are about to loose their balance on those and fall. I cringe when I see them on it. And where is the parent??? Usually talking to another mother oblivious to what is going on. Ugh.
