It would be my only car and I commute about 20 miles each way to work everyday, in Dallas.

YOU HAVE A TOYOTA MOTOR IN THE LOTUS AND IS A GREAT CAR BUT NOT REALLY APPROPRIATE FOR ONE RIDE HOUSE. THE BOXSTER IS MORE LIVABLE FOR A EVERYDAY CAR. I PERSONALLY COULDN'T LIVE EVERYDAY WITH EITHER ONE. TRY BUYING SOMETHING MORE USABLE AND MAKE THE LOTUS A SECOND CAR. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK WITH INSURANCE YOU MAY FIND THE INSURANCE HIGH ON THE LOTUS. DO A LIST OF PROS AND CONS ON BOTH CARS.

It really depends on how often you use it. The Elise is a real exotic, not so expensive but still an exotic, so I don't know if it's an everyday car.
The Boxster is more mainstream and maybe more reliable but as a pure driver's car you won't beat the Lotus.

The Boxster is more refined, but the Elise is more involving - more of a drivers car.

Go with the Elise, my boss has one they are lush! The boxster is a nice car too, but its nice to have a change!!

Lotus is more fun to drive, but porshe has better residuals. Have you considered an sport bmw? miles better!

Which one makes your nerve endings go Zing when you aredriving it? Go with your emotions , not common sense. For the price they are, you need the one that gives you the Wow Factor every time you look at it..
