Wow Kelly, you talk pretty strong. So, what have you done to support the war?

We are not the same country as we were in WWII. There is absolutely no war that the left is willing to support or sacrifice for so we do what we can with what we've got. When 1/2 the country is intent on losing the war at any cost and can't even pretend to support the effort, it's a little difficult to ask them to sacrifice.

When it is a small-scale action that doesn't require the resources of the entire country to fight it.
If we fought Iraq like we fought WWII, it would have been over long ago. But, rather than offend the sensibilities of the upber-sensitive left and just go in and clean house, we go in and try to surgically attack the bad guys without causing too much collateral damage.
Unfortunately, in a guerilla war situation like Iraq, it is impossible to tell the good guys from the bad guys for the most part, so there is no resolution.

We should never have gone against the U.N. We should have listened to them when they said their were no WMD in Iraq (we haven't found ANY). I did not support this war from the beginning, however, it turned into a war it didn't start as a war. It started as a pre-emptive strike because of faulty intelligence.
Do you think an average Iraqi wants more blood shed? Do you think another American service family wants to lose their child over a war that will never be won? I think we need to seriously re-evaluate what it means to serve one's country. Thousands of soldiers dying, tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's dead, civil war......World War II is an entirely different war with an entirely different set of ethics. We can't even begin to compare the two because there are no points of comparison.

I oppose the war yet I contribute at the Chapel on the Army base near where I live

That quote was in reference to the Peace Corps.
Technology and life has evolved a lot since WWII. We also haven't won a war since then.

This might be a great question to put to commander Bush. Why haven't you sent some of your family to support the war effort?
By the way, this is a bullying invasion and occupation. A war in most cases is two sided.

There really isn't much the average American can do. Some of us could put a lid on their irrational Bush hatred. Others could send money to service groups that work with wounded and disabled vets rather than send a check to move on .org. We could shun people like Cindy Sheehan, and Danny Glover. Other than that just going about our daily lives, staying employed, paying our taxes, and consuming goods and services to keep the economy rolling is about it

WW 2 was the last war we fought by attrition. We try to fight PC wars now. It just does not work. You win by killing as many of the enemy as you can. You kill till they no longer have the means or the will to fight. I do believe the troops are warn thin. If we are going to continue this fight, we need fresh bodies. Start the draft!

Yeah I agree. I don't think anyone knows the meaning of the words "sacrifice" or "effort." If the American Revolution happened today instead of over 200 years ago, we'd be in a whole lot of trouble.
