See, I finish work at 5.00pm on the dot. I charge out of work and I'm usually at the train station by 5.01, 5.02. It's not that I have anywhere to be, I just can't stand being here a second longer than I'm being paid to be.
And it's not that I don't like it here either. It's just when I'm done, I have to get as far away as possible. I think it stems for my days as a barman when, if you stuck around for a few drinks after your shift, you were still expected to help out.
Any thoughts?

lol Yeah, I go a different way to avoid the VP's office, he always wants to talk-I don't think he has a life.

I'm a stay at home mom so my job never ends and my bf drives a truck so he only gets 2-3 days off a week......but when he does he parks the truck as far away form the house as he can get it and he will not leave the house cause he would have to look at the truck......i think it is that personal time is precious and you just want it even if you have nothing to do with it.....

Every work day. It doesn't matter if I have anything to do or anywhere to go. I would rather be just about anywhere other than work. By 5 pm I am just plain old sick of the phone and most people for that matter.

I'm out of work by 4:30 - sometimes 4:15 depending on when my boss leaves and rush my as$ home to watch TV and eat pretzels.

I am the same way, I don't like to be around any longer than I have to be. I like to go home and take it easy and be by myself. I'm glad I have the next 2 days off. =)

I do the same, I guess it has to do with the fact that many days I end up mentally very tired and I want to breath another air and see something different.

i do that too, i often find myself driving 85mph on the freeway home, even though i know when i get there i'll just be vegging out on the couch... i can only stand 8 hours a day at work.... no more than that....

OMG, that is SO true. I do it all the time - Hurry up and get out of here, just to get home and do nothing. I have no idea why. Even if it's just me here, I still lock up and get the he!! out!
