This is a hard question to answer, 12 Gods, for one money, then work, then automobiles, then industry, then gas, then time, then religion, I don't know this is hard to answer, like someone else said depends on how you look at it, in some ways better in some ways worse. I think it also depends on what you believe in or don't. Maybe you need to tell us? It seems like you want some specific answers or already have an answer of your own in mind, add some more to the details.

It depends the haves and the have nots.If you have, then you have better medical care more privacy and you can turn your back to the worse.The have nots live in less privacy,take what is out there and learn to live with it.

It really depends on your outlook entirely.
If you choose to only see the bad things, then society is indeed getting worse
But, if you decide to see the good things, then society is at its best.

Society is getting worse if we get worse.

If I get best services, supplier is better, if I get bad services, supplier is worse.
If I get best food from wife, she is better, in 2nd case, she is worse.

neither, but the news has better venues of reporting, and finding better ratings for reporting more gruesome things
