I am 34 weeks pregnant with number 2. my first daughter was born at 37 weeks. i just went to the doctor and had him check me becasue i have been having contractions everyday between 2-6 hours a day every 8-12 minutes apart. i am already dialted to 3. how long were other moms at this point and when did you go. with my first at 35 weeks i was dilated to 1 and had her 2 weeks later.

since i'm 34 weeks they said they wouldn't try to stop it (they don't encourage it but won't stop it either).
with my first my water broke and within 3 hours she was bron and cleaned up

I was dialated to 4 when I went to the hospital(I thought I was in labor), and I had my daughter later that night. I would say since you're dialated to 3 already, that you will be having your baby soon. Since your first child was early, the chances of your second one being early, are increased. Good Luck!

I walked around at a 2 or 3 for about a month with my first (he was big). He was born on is due date.
Go back to your doctor and have him really test if you are in labor or not. Remeber, the doctor works for you. There are drugs to stop labor this early. Maybe you should be on bed rest. Do drink more water and put your feet up more, regardless of what the doctor says.

Oh wow. I didn't start dilating till I was in the hospital with both of my boys the day of them being born. But I also have my kids very fast. I have them with in a few hours of my water braking and dilating.. You may have your baby soon then. Good luck

I've always dilated early like 3 weeks at 3. Don't worry until you're at 4!! Plus, braxton hicks are very common at this point.

My daughter didn`t come until 5 days after her due date and I was only dilated to 1....At my 38 weeks appointment with my son I was 4 centimeters and 80% effaced and he came 2 days later!! They say the more you have the sooner they come..(sometimes!!)

I was 2cm for 2 weeks... 3 days befor he was born I was 3cm...
When I went in to give birth I was 3.5 cm..

I never dilated in my pregnancy (had cesarean),
but my friend was dilated at 3cm for 3 weeks.
Don't worry.
