My friend's car is making an extremely weird noise. When she turns the car, the wheels sound like they are going to fall off. We've taken it to the garage to have it checked out and they said they have checked EVERYTHING and cannot find a thing wrong with it...wheel bearings, etc etc.. The noise is still there. I know the guys at the garage aren't talking cr&p coz we been taking the car there for service for ages and they've always been upfront and honest with us (I know I know...hard to believe)....Any suggestions as to what the noise may be will be welcome!!

Cheers

The tyres have been swopped around (no change), shocks have been replaced (no change), joints replaced (no change), springs checked (no change) (this has all been done in the last 10 months). Its a Renault Megane sport but I don't know what kind of 'drive' it is.
2 tyres were stolen off the car a couple of months back and the garage came out to replace and as far as I know, they gave us new tyres (whatever the right tyre was for the Megane)..

Move that tire to another wheel.I've seen tires act up,like you had bad bearings.Check and see if they rub the plastic wheel wells.I hope the rims they put on after the other tires were stolen have the same offset on the bearings. They could rub the tie rods.

If everything checked out , the tires have to be hitting someplace when you turn the wheels.

are after market tires or rims on this car? are shocks worn to the point that going around a curve causes to much body lean? are universal joints damaged? broken spring?

if it makes noise when turning you should have them check the idle arm it just might need grease
