If I were shopping for second-hand books in a store, I'd rather be in London than anywhere in the world!
However, if you prefer online shopping, you can get a new copy of Things Fall Apart, for example, for about three pounds (plus postage) on Amazon UK.

Try the Charing Cross Road, famous for 2nd hand bookshops. Or you can browse your local charity shops, it's amazing what you can find there. Or try e-bay.

Get out of the smoke,
Go to Hay on Wye, the whole place is a book shop.
It is on the edge of the Forest of Dene.
Books and the Forest, who needs London.
