start low and have a secret shipping cost.

instead of it being shown make it say "contact seller for info"

the diamond retails for 126,000 but the highest price anyone will pay will actually be 80,000

if you take high quality pictures and include a detailed description, people will bid and pay with confidence. just make sure you communicate with them a lot and if you have high feedback, they won't be insecure.

so basically the diamond is worth 80-90 grand. but retail is 126. lets take a consumer electronic for example. an item's MSRP will be really high but no reseller will actually resell it for that high. Even the company will sell it for a lower price.

So in this case, let 126,000 be the MSRP.

It is just 3.5 carats round cut. You'll get a good deal. Have the starting at 60,000. and make the listing 14 days.

if you aren't sure if it will sell for a lot more, make a reserve at 80,000 or in your description, put "contact me for buy it out"

If you're going to list it on eBay, make sure to have a certificate of authenticity from your local jeweler. No one will shell out the bucks for a quasi-quastionable stone without proof that it's the real deal. Also, I'd set a reserve price, just to be safe! Good luck.

DON'T DO THAT!
First, the buyer can claim they never received the merchandice - then all that money gets taken away until it's settled.
Second, E-Bay charges a commission.
Third, E-bay charges a fee whether you succeed in selling the item or not.
Go to some dealer, and sell it that way. Someplace reputable, and bring some friends in case you get jumped.

I would do it with an official signed pp on worth/value by a licensed jeweler etc. or have a company do it- don't expect to get what you wish but definetly have a minimum price you'll take-good luck.
