Well I made an apt. right away but I didn't go to the clinic. They didn't do a blood test for a while, Until like week 12. You will probably get a urine test, & a pelvic exam (depending on when your last visit was)....here's a website that will help answer your questions. & Congrats!

most drs want to see you around 8 weeks and that is where they will set you up with all sorts of blood tests. They will get a complete health history, check your weight and blood pressure, explain how the upcoming appts will go. The first visit is a lot of information and talking they will be much shorter visits after the first. Congrats and good luck!

I went in for my first doctors appointment at about....7 weeks pregnant. I got my blood drawn at my 15 week appointment. Thats when they tested me for the triple screen test...where they test for things like, down syndrome and other abnormalities in the baby. They will check to see where your uterus is sitting and if they even feel it yet. It will start to expand (obviously..haha) and they will be able to feel it from the outside but at the beginning it still sits far enough behind your pelvis they usually can't feel it. They will also check your height, weight, and blood pressure. The doctor will ask for all of your family history and if you have any knowledge of cancer or anything in your background. Other than that..i think thats it!!! Good luck and congrats on your little one!!!

I'm also 6 weeks preg. Hah... They're gonna schedule within the next month or so. The first visit is very long so prepare yourself. They'll do blood work, nutrition counseling, medical history, and a number of other tests. Once they take care of all that they'll schedule you for another appointment to get your first ultrasound.

In your case they will probably want to see you as soon as they can within a week or so of calling. For me they did the blood test that day and I also got a full check up, pap, pelvic exam, breast exam and a prenatal visit. Congrats!!

Ask round for a sturdy relatives physician on your section.start up with him first .call for an appointment. you do not ought to tell everyone why, if the workplace team ask you on the time of the appointment basically say you want a consultation or that you would particularly no longer say. tell him you experience depressed and enable him recommend you. you may no longer ought to work out everyone else.you don't need to work out a psychologist (counselor /therapist) yet do you want to work out a psychiatrist? -an M.D. that prescribes medicine for melancholy and different psychological well being topics.

8 weeks.
I saw mine at 7.5 weeks.
They don't do a lot...they go over your history. The obgyn might schedule an ultrasound if you have had miscarriages before.
The first 4 appointments are pretty quick and uneventful.
It isn't until the last 2 months that things get interesting (glucose tolerance tests, etc)
Congratulations!

Normally, they do the blood work and first obgyn appt. together around 10-12 weeks. I had my blood work completed when I found out and I have to return my first ob appt. But normally, the first appt is around 10-12 weeks.

on the first visit its usually around 9 -10 weeks.
They take your blood, make you pee in a cup , they check your weight and you will fill out a family history report and other paperwork.
