my boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I was trying to get some good ideas as gifts??? He has everything and we live together??? He likes trucks and car stuff but I can't get him any other gadgets for his car??

if he likes sports, sports tickets are a good idea. baseball, basketball, and hocky tickets are all on sale now.

I'm a big fan of the "today is your day" approach to birthdays. At our house it makes your king/queen for the day. Meals, activities and options are all up to the birthday boy/girl. If the birthday falls on a weekday then make plans for a nice dinner after work, go somewhere for music and drinks~ whatever the birthday boy would prefer. Even if it means putt putt golf, do it!
Since your guy is into cars you could get him a gift card to his fave auto place, gift card to a place that installs nice car stereos in case his isn't the greatest, have a mobile detailing company come detail his car at home..guys are so practical it makes me sick! I bought my husband a new PDA/phone because he's a geek and he needed a new one. Not romantic but he's happy with it.
His mom might be a good source of gift ideas since she knows a different side of him, the mother in law is always a reliable source for gifts in my experience.

Make him a romantic dinner, give him a massage, and snuggle and watch a movie that he would like to watch instead of your chick flick. You could have a day where you are totally devoted to doing anything he may want to do, make him breakfast in bed, go play some mini golf or go to the go cart track, do things that would be on his list of fun. You know him better than we do, so really only you can decide weather or not romance or fun would be best in his day.

Since he is into cars, he might be into Nascar. If so get him a huge vinyl poster from http://fathead.excellentabc.com of his favorite driver. I got my b/f a life size poster of his favorite basketball player from there and he loved it.
