No. The age of media - discs, tapes, records, etc. - is very near its end. Soon, we will get most everything digitally, like we already do off of iTunes or cable On Demand. There will be no need for discs, for rent and especially for sale. Blockbuster's business model is based on media - selling and renting it, either from brick-and-mortar stores, or online. Either way, media is on its way out, and I am not optimistic that Blockbuster can reinvent itself with some other business model.

Rental movies? Probably not. At the moment there are so many new things coming out like netflix that renting a movie is becoming obsolete. Now, you can rent at a monthly rate, not leave you house, and have a new movie or game every few days. I'd wait to see what damage this does to blockbuster before making an investment.

probably not right now, although I dont think they will die out as soon as people think- plus I think they are smart enough to have the movies available for download online as well as keeping up their mailing program(I am a member and it is awesome!) they are a huge national company with alot of money.

people are becoming more computer literate but the store will still be used by people who dont invest in a home computer and high speed Internet.

No way, they are going down hill, since you can rent on cable now. I notice everytime I go to rent...(once every 6 months or so), their prices are higher to rent. They won't be around for long if their mail renting doesn't pick up. (Netflix started that first). I wouldn't. Investing in something that's new and has momentum is great to invest in.

It's got a little break-out going above $7.00. If that holds through the end of the day, it would be a short-term buy. Could run to $10.50 short term. Stop out on a close below $7.00

No. Video stores are going to be dead in the next 5 years or so. Plus, their version of Netflix is not nearly as successful.

Do you actually go to the store to rent? Rent online? If not, I wouldn't invest in something I wouldn't use personally.

not any more. Netflix was bad enough, but soon all movies are going to be available for download online. the days of the high-street video rental store must be numbered.
