not sure in the legislation regarding this matter. a voluntary sports group for under 14's. can a 15 year old coach them? what about child protection officers? does the 15 year old neeed one for him aswell? can he coach if an adult is present?

I think you will need someone over the age of 21 who is there for health & safety reasons.

That is the case in commercial / industrial buildings.

But he can coach them at the age of 15. A friend of mine used to coach ice hockey to little kids when he was 16

If you are in the UK, there may be issues with the insurance for the group - need to check this with the insurers.
Certainly, the coach would need to be CRB checked and be made aware of the groups' Child Protection Policy.

Generally, their should be an adult present at least.
