How to get an sponsor for a mens softball team?

IF anyone has any experience getting a sponsor for a sports team I would love to hear about it. We have a mens softball team that we are looking to get a sponsorship for and I am not really that sure how to approach local businesses with the idea.

how soft are u man....u call urself a man and u r playin soft ball.... go play some manly sport like swimming, badminton, ice skating, aerobics.
