A background image? Copy & paste it into the header of the document. Use the Picture toolbar to fade out (increase the brightness) the image so that it willl not drown out the text.

MS Word default settings do not print background images/colors. Select File>Print and click on the Options icon in the lower left corner. Under "Include with Document" check Background Colors and Images.
