I've only been on it for about 2 months, but I started spotting (which I read could happen) then I got my period. This has been going on for almost 2 weeks! I didn't get my period the month before I started the pills because I stopped breastfeeding and the first month on them was fine. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similiar issues with this pill.

I took it for 30 days and spotted the entire 30 days. I had horrible mood swings, it destroyed my sex drive, and I had mild depression. As soon as I switched to a different pill I was myself again. Seasonale can take up to a year in some women to regulate periods. Just keep with it if that's your only problem.

Seasonale it is nothing but birth control pills that are taken more continuously (active pills)than the other brands.\ Each pill brand has a slightly different concentration of hormones. Some women do well on a lower dose Some get too much spotting between periods and need a higher dose or different combo Spotting can be caused by other illnesses like chlamydia so you need to consult w your doctor and see if it is anything else-(or pregancy) If not you probably will be given an option of switching brands. Also be sure to use back up birth control methods as they instruct you for the time they instruct so you dont have a surprise
You must take them pretty much the SAME time every day and NOT miss pills as irregular pill taking can cause spotting and allow you to ovulate thus you could get pregnant Good luck in finding a good match for your body and birth control It may take some adjusting brands to get the right one.

I've been on Seasonale now for almost 2 years! It took my body a few months to adjust! I had the same exact issues as you! But now I do not spot, My period is light and only lasts a few days, and cramps have gotten better with this pill! Stick with it you'll like the overall outcome!!!

I guess it takes a while for your body to get used to the hormones. It happens to all the types of birth control...The longer you use it, the better it'll get
