As Bush saying "Stay the Course"?

Both severely lack the details needed discern whether or not they actually have a potentially successful plan...

Haven't we heard enough of "What" we need and shouldn't we demand a little more of "How" we are going to get it?

>>>Steve C<<<

>>>Would you rather both sides of our government continue to hate each other and we get nothing done?<<<

No, I said we know "What" we need, but shouldn't we expect a little more in the "How" department?

Illinois is largerly a Democrat stronghold. A Democrat Illinois Senator getting legislation passed isn't really a major accomplishment for bipartisanship and like you said >>>this may be more difficult on the federal level<<<. I think >>>working with both sides of the aisle<<< is a good start, but it doesn't give enough detail of what he plans to compromise on.

>>>Did you actually go to his website and read his plans, or are you just throwing this out here without even doing any research on it first?<<<

Haven't gone to his website, will do later, I've listened to a few of his speeches and threw the question out here to see what people thought. Thanks for the comments.

All someone has to do to end partisanship is stop encouraging the kind of language that causes it. Bush is clearly not interested in doing this because if he was, he would have stopped doing it himself.

When Obama worked in the Illinois Senate, he was praised for working with both sides of the aisle in passing legislation. While this may be more difficult on the federal level, it is worth a try. Would you rather both sides of our government continue to hate each other and we get nothing done? Our current govt. acts like a bunch of kindergartners. Did you actually go to his website and read his plans, or are you just throwing this out here without even doing any research on it first?

In essence, Obama's plan to unite the country is something the United States needs after being divided on social issues such as Gay Rights, Abortion, Separation between Church and State; Stem Cell Research; Immigration and many other topics.

Partisanship; simply relates to party line agendas; (voting on party lines; despite your constituents) rejecting the greater good, or the voice of the American people. The two subjects are quite unique from each other.

That is true. If he's got a plan for Iraq, i'd like to hear what it is.
