Well, assuming that they have the same life-span as an alligator, they can live as long as you or longer. Alligators haven't been kept in captivity long enough to know for sure if they can reach 100 years yet, but I do know that they can live to be into their 80s.

If you're looking into getting a caiman, I suggest not to, they are not friendly and cannot be tamed. It seems the bigger they get, the more they realize that they have 80 or so very sharp teeth, and the more they want to use them.

If you have a caiman and are wondering when you'll be rid of it, if you want rid of it sooner than the time span I have given, contact a local zoo or alligator farm.

I had a Spectacled Cayman for over 20 years before I sold it... Sorry, I could not find any information on the Internet to help with the question.

They can live over 100 years.
