Right to practice religion--Interviews with surviving Dravidian's state that David Koresh was intimately versed in the Bible and "knew it like he wrote it". He taught that the US government were the enemy of the Dravidian's and would have to be defended against. He also taught that the apocalypse foretold in the Book of Revelation was upon them. It is sad how people can be trained to follow God. As for the FLDS, they are harmless.

Janet Reno and her group were a direct blame for that. I can't stand the Clintons but I think you are off on this one. Also hoarding weapons and other oddities the Waco group did made them a very suspicious target-at least their leaders who were not quite as nicey nice as people would put out and I don't think the power they showed over their followers was done in love but rather to control- this however did not make a cause for what transpired there and the loss of lives was horrible.

i disagree with the way waco was handled,but it was not a religion,it was a blunder by the ATF. i haven't heard of any plan over religion by the clintons.
edit. the group to worry about now is the FLDS,they are even building a compound in texas.

David Koresh ambushed the ATF officers and more than likely started the fires that burned his compound. The Branch Davidians were little more than a cult of personality and there are many stories of child abuse coming from former members.

While the whole standoff may have been poorly executed police procedure, I don't think that the central issues of Waco were ones of religious persecution.

I didn't agree with the way that was handled at all !!

Me= liberal it was shameful

Its not nearly as shameful as the lies told to get us into this war, but lets rail against an old issue and just continue to let our soldiers die for this NON cause

i don't blame Clinton for that one, I blame Janet Reno and the BATF. False affidavits and a sincere lack of professionalism and hound dogging caused that tragedy.

who cares about the clintons anymore - get over it! plus if you do something in your "religion" that is illegal, then you can't do it. period.
