After the Free Agency moves, in round one it will be doubtful. But to be honest last draft every expert was saying the one thing the Patriots didn't need was a tight end and although they didn't take one in the first round they walked away with drafting three. Pioli and Belichick are hard to predict, they truly stick to the "we'll take the best available player" mentality. This draft has some great athletes at receiver and if one falls to them I would not be surprised if they take one.
If I were predicting this as if the Patriots acted like most teams in the NFL I would say it will definitely be a safety and an inside linebacker with those two first round picks

I think that with the pick up of Wes Welker,Dante stallworth and having drafted good rookie chad jackson at wide out, there is no need for another wide reciever They will most likely be taking a Linebacker in the first round or a CB maybe in the late round slike 6th or 7th they will take a WR but yeah, look for a LB

If they do draft a WR, it won't be the first round. They have two picks in Round 1 so they will probably draft a LB, S and/or CB.

If I were the Pats' GM, I wouldn't even be thinking about drafting a WR in the first round. I'd work on the defense, preferably a LB or DB.

I think with Chad Jackson being drafted last year, Stallworth, caldwell and gaffney still here, i would be surprised if the Pats went first round on a receiver to be honest. I still would like to see them get depth at LB for youth purposes, Oline help, and then maybe a later round receiver...First round receivers are pretty hit or miss to begin with and I don't see a true impact one other then Johnson. Just look at the Lions, Ashlie Lelie, Roddy white..etc etc

I think they prefer to use free agency to fill the voids in the WR dept, so i think they will not use any early picks on a WR.

I think they should focus on the secondary or linebackers now...Seems they have a pretty good group of receivers, as long as Caldwell improves on his performance against the Colts...
