I'm a diehard 49er fan. I have to say they have great possiblity of making the playoffs and maybe (BIG MAYBE) pushing towards a Super Bowl. The defensive signings were very impressive as they grabbed what was really needed and didn't waist money on Adalius Thomas (something they didn't need). Their offense will be sharper and Smith will be even better than last season, hopefully, break out of his shell and become a leader. Gore will have an even better season, less fumbles, and lead this team. The defense won't be outstanding, but it will be able to do its job and force games to be won. 49ers have the ability to now cover the Cardinals receivers (which always kill them), and can hang right with the Rams (as they have done), and even out power the Seahawks (pretty much the same team as last year). They could easily win the division, but the same goes with any of the other teams. 49ers will do well, possibly a 9 or 10 win season. GO 49ERS!!!

I want to wait until after the draft to make my real assessments on how they will do. I think with a more solid secondary and at least 1 more weapon for Alex Smith, then playoffs here we come. In a weak division and conference I don't see how they won't win at least 9 games. In the NFC that's playoffs. In the draft I'd like to see them get Ted Ginn Jr. or move on up to maybe the 2nd or 3rd pick and take Calvin Johnson. That's dreaming though I know. All in all I like the team. Signing Clements was HUGE. And the Niners have had 2 solid drafts and I can see a another one under Nolan this year. Superbowl is still a few years away though.

Our rosters are in fine shape, not great but fine. last season we gave the Seahawks a scare and almost took the division, with improvements this year we will do well. of course the seahawks had alot of injuries, but even when alexander got healthy and hassleback was back, and the niners went to Seattle to play, and we still won? as a niners fan thats a real morale boost right there. probably we might not take the division, but we will have a winning season (finally).

the only thing i really wanted was to fix up or Defensive backfield more, but we probably won't with the signing of Clemonts (who probably won't even finish that contract) and M. Lewis. so most likely Nolan will want to fix our line so our linebackers can come off more free, so a big NT is probably what we need

Niners did a good job in free agency. Clements and Lewis along with Spencer will make a tough backfield whcih we need with the receivers in the NFC West.Banta Cain coming over from the Patriots was huge for pass rush. Frnaklin will rotate with Sopoaga at NT and Ashley Lelie can run deep routes which will open up Battle and Davis more.I think the niners will go 8-8 or 9-7. they have a tough schedule playing the NFC south and AFC East.I think they also have a chance to de-throne the Seahawks in the NFC west.

I think the roster is starting to shape up. Getting Clements was a good move and the guys we had from last year should continue to show improvement. We were very close to winning the division last year. Had we swept Arizona like we should have, we would have been in the playoffs. I look for us to be a playoff team this year with a record of about 10-6.

I think they did a good job of strengthening their rooster in free agency and I hope they can do even more with the draft. I think they will make the playoffs this year but not sure if they are quite ready to get very deep into the playoffs. But you never know. Nobody thought they would beat Denver and they did. Last year was a defining year for them. Gore will be probably be even more fantastic. I heard he wants to get 2000 yards this year. Hopefully the new offense coordinator will use Alex Smith's athleticism to his best advantage and we will see an even bigger growth in him. Its looking good....

So so, nothing to write home about. The niners will probably finish about mid way or a little better.

lets just say they'll do better but idk if 'good' is the right word. they're a young developing team and its gonna take time. even if they make playoffs they hav a VERY LITTLE chance of making superbowl. but yea they'll do better
