My daughter works in a tanning booth and she told me that it does help you tan better and more evenly and keeps your skin moisturized and you will retain your color longer.

Alot of the "high priced" salon lotions contain bronzers and tingle that some say help you tan faster. The bronzers definetly make the skin LOOK tanned in a matter of hours after the first or second tan. A bonus for vacationers who just want to get tan before putting on the bathing suit.

The bronzer "tan" lasts about 3 or 4 days, which is plenty of time to get a decent non chemically induced tan.

Either way, use a good moisturizing lotion when you go indoor tanning. Even cocoa butter is better than nothing at all.

Hi

Tanning beds are not a good idea - even when used once a week. The UV really damages the skin even thou you only stay on them a few minutes. It can still cause skin cancer. Its also really aging to the skin - if you use them you will notice you get wrinkles earlier than someone who doesnt.

Its exactly the same for someone who sun bathes a lot.

You are best using a good fake tan and staying away from sun beds totally. I use fake bake its very good and used by a lot of the celebs - if its good enoguh for them....

:)

in the beginning, tanning is so undesirable for you, you ought to get epidermis maximum cancers from it. My mom have been given epidermis maximum cancers from tanning. right this is my suggestion to you, use a self-tanner. I certainly have honest epidermis so i seem relatively orange whilst i take advantage of them. the final element to do is to apply a gentle tanner first (like Jergens) and then word a self tanner. the main reasonable one that i've got discovered is Strike Gold via tub and physique Works. that's a self-tanning lotion with bronzer and it additionally has slightly shimmer in it. It expenses approximately $15.00 for a tube, and you will seem darker after one use. i like it and that i think of that spectacular now that's on sale on the tub and physique Works webstie. I certainly have acquaintances that tan and that all of them use spellbound or bombshell.

Moist skin helps hold your tan- but those expensive tanning lotions they sell at the salon aren't necessary.

It would just make more sense to stay out of tanning beds altogether. I used them (and sunbathed) for many years and had my first go round with melanoma at 32.

Nope.
It just helps to moisturize your skin.
Some people feel they dont get the full effect if they dont use the lotion, but with a $40 and up price tag, you wouldnt be the only one not using it!

if you wore the tanning lotion it would help with getting a darker, richer tan and to keep it longer.
