In n Out is known for a couple of reasons. There menu is very limited only with a regular hamburger, cheeseburger, or double double which is just a double cheeseburger. They pat down their hamburger patties by hand with fresh hamburger meat, and make their fries on spot by chopping potatoes and frying them. Also they serve awesome malt shakes and sodas. There are also a couple of secrets about in n out only natives know. For example, if you wanted to, you can ask them for a 3x3 or a 4x4 etc. and they will stack as many meat patties as you want on the burger. Also, you can get your fries animal style where they put grilled onions and melted cheese on the fries. You can also ask for your burger to be protein style and that is where they put lettuce around your burger instead of a bun. In my opinion I like the bun. It's too messy protein style. So there, I suggest if your on the West Coast, that's the first place you need to be.

They are really cheap $1.50 for a cheese burger, and the spread they put on the burger is so good. The fries are also made fresh.

Fresh meat and veggies. Other than that, they are basic burgers that taste really good.
There is a secret menu also just to add to the fun.

They use fresh ingredients (meat, lettuce, cheese, grilled onions), the milkshakes are awesome, the fries are real potatoes, and they're cheap too! Some East Coast people don't get it...It's a Cali thing.

In N Out burgers absolutely SUCKS. they are tasteless, and take forever to make. Oh and their fries are horrible too, taste like cardboard. I ate their once and am never eating there again. You expect something good after you've waited 10 minutes for your order but when you get a chincy portion that tastes like crap.... you dont go back
