The answer could also be "blood vessels directly connected to the heart". The arterial system has the aorta which drains the oxygenated blood from the heart from the left ventricle. And the venous system has the posterior vena cava (inferior venacava or descending vena cava) and the anterior vena cava (or superior or ascending vena cava) which supplies the heart with deoxygenated blood to the right auricle/atrium.

The arterial system has The Aorta which is the root systemic artery
And venous system has two main largest veins, Superior vena cava,and Inferior vena cava
