My friend is 60. She has been drinking very heavy for the last 3 years. Her husband told me she's now drinks all night long atleast 2 times a week..then she sleeps for 15 hours.. IWhen my phone rings and I see its her..I'm nervous about answering it cuz I know she's drunk. What should I do?

Don't answer your phone, that's the first step...IF and when she may ask you why? tell her!
Be straight up front...and YES she will me mad,Because a DRUNK will never admit they are drunks!
I would say YOU LOST a FRIEND too the BOOZE BOTTLE.
Nothing funny or MORE SAD then this!

Your friend is in trouble.....This is definitely a cry for help...try talking to her and if that does not help, please try talking with her husband and get her some help...there are many rehabilitation centers that deal with this addiction..Drinking to this extent is usually an indicator of many underlying problems that she is having trouble dealing with....and they will only get worse if intervention is not started...
