When you periods stop with pregnancy and menopause not the cause, it is called Secondary Amenorrhea. It could be a variety of things causing this. Here is a list of the more common things that cause women not pregnant and not entering menopause to stop mentruating:

Stress

Polysytic Ovarian Dusease

Endometriosis

Low Iron

Rapid weight loss

Rapid weight gain

Illness

Certain medications

Birth control pill too low in estrogen

Progestin only birth control

Missed ovulation (no egg released from ovary)

Ectopic pregnancy (which doens't always show up on pregnancy tests)

Fibroids

Possible misscariage (this also wouldn't show up as a pregnancy, since the HcG levles would already have dropped)

uterine or ovarian infection

Cyst

polyp of the cervix, vagina or uterus

Infection of the uterus if using an IUD

Endometriosis

Hormone imbalance

Did you recently lose a lot of weight? That can change your cycles and make them even stop. You need to get some bloodwork done to make sure there aren't other problems.
