I have never been a supporter of the PlayStation and a $600.00 price tag is not going to get me started anytime soon. I really think that the system is boasting a bunch of hardware that's not pertinent to playing games. I have a Wii and enjoy the system and i have a 360 and enjoy that system and between the 2 I get a good variety of games and 2 different ways to play.
Yes the PS3 is a graphical masterpiece but too much emphasis is put on what the system can do vs what the developers are able to deliver. Companies left and right are complaining about the difficulty of making good games for the system. What is the point of having a system that cost me $600.00 and is only offering me mediocre games.
What do we have to blame for this? Blu-ray. Blu-ray is expensive and a lot of companies cannot afford to produce games for the systems because they are losing a lot of money because the product isn't moving off the shelves at the rate they would like. Also the Blu-ray player in the PS3 is a low end version. Not a very good Blu-ray player and will not offer the full capability of an actual Blu-ray player which is what I will buy if Blu-ray wins the format war. I've never used my gaming systems for playing DVDs and I wont start now. So no I will not be getting a PS3.

I may get one in the future, dependant on what happens with blu ray and HD DVD as currently, the PS3 is the cheapest way available of getting a blu ray player by around £400. Not interested in the console itself to be honest though - will stick with my 360 and Wii for the games.....

Not getting a PS3 anytime soon. My newest system is a Nintendo DS, and it's quite enjoyable for me.
Don't quite have the space for a Wii, and I'm not really into a lot of the Xbox games, but they're both decent consoles.
Maybe a year from now, my answer will change. Of course, a year from now, they'll probably all be cheaper and have a lot more games too...

there is no reason to get a narrow in case you have a Fatboy PS3 already. And smaller would not straight away advise extra useful. no ought to deliberately smash your PS3 the two. I advise, its unlike your guarantee might provide you a clean PS3 narrow and it would be extra low fee to sell your old PS3 particularly of breaking it.

The PS3 is ugly, heavier than the heavy Xbox360, and is soooooo expensive it makes my bank manager tremble! But because it has 'Sony' and 'PS3' written on the case it will sell.
I have no intention of buying a PS3 as only a small percentage of console games are worth playing.

They are well too expensive, who can afford to pay £500 for a games console? Maybe in a year or two when they are a realistic price.

I've just got my son an Xbox 360 so i wont be getting a PS3 this year. i expect he'll nag at me to get him for Xmas though. if it had been out earlier i probably would have got him one as we have a PS2 and have never had any problems with it. i expect most people would go with what they know
