I have been on my period for five days now and I am usually on it for 3 days max. This period has been very different because my cramps are like I have never had, they hurt so bad. I am still flowing as heavy as I was on the second day. I am on the oral contraceptive called yasmine which makes your periods shorter and less painful but I can't even tell I am on it this month! I need to know if this somthing to worry about or is it normal because I am getting older (I'm 24)? I'm a little worried because female problems run in my family. I get my annual exam every and I'm due next month should just wait and tell my doctor then? Or go now?

Because the pill is causing your body to think you are pregnant, you aren't really having true periods... With that, I would also say that any problems you may be having are probably related to the pill. I've had two friends on Yasmine and both of them have had FREAKY experiences. One had very strange periods that didn't soak into the tampon, and the other just had continuous bleeding. May I suggest getting yourself off that pill and either trying another one, or doing an alternative method (for the responsible woman only) like the Fertility Awareness Method (not the rhythm method!) found in the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, MPH?

Oftentimes there is an advice nurse you can call with your insurance or with your doctor. You could try that, and then have a serious consultation with your doctor about Yasim.

If you are worried about something specific, call your doctor. I am not a doctor, and have always have weird periods, but some months I had heavier periods when I was on the pill. (I have been on different birth control, one of which was yasmine.) You can still ovulate while on the pill (the pill in not 100% effective), though I think it would be rare, but that can cause heavier periods, worse symptoms ect. I would wait two days, if you are comfortable with that and if it gets no better call your doctor. Or just call your doctor, that's what they are there for, talk with the phone nurse and she can tell you what to do.

You probably don't have anything to worry about. If I were you, I would call your doctor and just ask what they think to be on the safe side. Are you under any stress? I know that can influence your period in different ways, so it might be something like that. Good luck.

You should go to the doctor. Something like that happened to a close friend of mine and she ended up in the emergency room, because she never went to the doctor when she had that problem.

Call you gynecologist or family Dr. and ask to speak to the nurse...if you are using more than 5 pads or tampons a day this is abnormal...they may want to see you and don't be embarrassed, they see bleeding all the time...Just take care of yourself and call right away....

I seem to have an "odd" period every so often that may last longer or be heavier than normal. Definitely call your dr if you're worried though!

i think he replaced into crying pretend tears the full time. he's thoroughly no longer severe correct to the relationship and he's dropping your emotions on him. do no longer provide your coronary heart away to an insecure, chilly-hearted individual like that. He sounds like he's merely toying with you. He sounds like he merely needs to be attentive to how far he can pass into breaking you down till you ultimately say you have had adequate. i do no longer think of he's the properly suited one for you, sweetie. there are a lot of worthier adult adult males available which you will choose for, yet heavily no longer this one you're speaking approximately. over the years, you will forget approximately him. do no longer difficulty. you will be able to love him in spite of if it does no longer propose which you won't have the capacity to place that love onto somebody else greater worth. desirable of success.
