My PC comes on of its own accord and then shuts down some times without completing the booting process, some times after it has finished booting and I am using it. When it is shutting down it indicates that it is saving my opened files and then finally shuts down. When I press on the power button for it to start it doesn't start. If I remove the power cord from the main power suplly while the PC is off and then reconnect it, the PC comes on and then shuts off without completing the booting process. I don't know what is responsible for this. I don't know whether a virus can cause such a problem with PCs. I was told to change the power block. I did without any change. A friend has tested the various components and has concluded that it is the motherboard that needs to be changed. But, I'll like to be extra sure before buying a new motherboard so as to avoid wastage of my meagre finances.

Something you can try..

If you have some extra device plugged in,, like a USB device unplug them
before you restart..I've seen them stop a computer from full start..

When you reboot unplug power let set a few minutes then plug back in.

relies upon on the difficulty, yet extra effective than probably particular, there are unfastened registery cleaners, unfastened spyware removers, and unfastened anti-virus courses, all of which artwork just to boot if not extra useful than their paid opposite numbers. For anti-virus application i choose to advise AVG (findable via looking AVG unfastened), for spyware i choose to advise Spybot S&D (seek & injury). different issues might have multiple different recommendations.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
