Depends on which roster edit type you have. If you have the old classic, then when a player has a DL label next to him, you click on that player's scroll and pick DL. Then a DL section will appear on ur roster with that player in it.
If you have a drag and drop type, then im assuming(since it's new) that when you have a player on DL during the season, there will be a DL section and you can drop that player in it.
Hope this helps!!!

Players going on the DL, Pedro, Josh Johnson, Bartolo Colon, etc. are not officially listed as DL by their teams yet. Official 25 man rosters are not required by MLB until 4-1 and teams will wait until that time to list their DL's.
Until the teams put the players on the actual DL, the you cannot place him on DL in Yahoo. The day after the official DL list is posted, Yahoo will make that player available for that position. You can then change that players roster position to DL and pick up another player.

Spring Training Needs to break first. No one is on the DL yet because they dont know who is on the roster and who to move to 60 day DL or 15 day dl. Usually a week or 2 before the season starts they put people on the DL. Once they do it takes Yahoo one day to add the DL icon to a players name and then you can place them on the DL list

If you are talking about a Yahoo league then you can't do anyting until you see a red DL label next to the player. Once you see the DL label then you just click on the drop-down box and there should be a DL selection.
