for example it says ----0----2----2p0----0 etc... whats the p mean??? please help!!! thanks!

It means pull-off. In the example you gave, you would play the 2nd fret note, then pull off your finger from the fretboard, causing the open note to sound. To make this work better, flick your finger off of the string when you pull off.

P= pull the string, usually to make it ring a note 2 frets ahead

PM= palm mute, keep your fat part of your hand where your bridge is

make sure not to get them mixed up!
