I have a bathroom to clean that has been neglected for awhile, floors need scrubbing, shower and bath, all that sort of thing, I just want to get it really clean and from there I will maintain it. If you've had a job like this done (just a one-shot cleaning), or if you do housecleaning professionally, what would you expect to pay or what would you charge?

I clean houses and I'd say I'd charge you about 25 or 30 bucks.

From what you've said it's pretty bad so if it needs that much work it's going to require probably 2.5-3 hours of work depending on the size. Everything from the toiled to the floor to the shower to the sink is covered.

It'll all needs to be bleached etc and using all those things take time. If theres mold that adds some more time as you'll be waiting for the bleach to kill it etc.

I'd hire someone privately not commercially. I cannot tell you how many people around me from Merry Maids etc have been arrested for stealing etc. Make sure you're there as well whilst this is happening.

they will probrably charge you by the job not the hour to make more money.. but do check around and make sure there licensed and insured and definitly bonded...I own a cleaning company and just to do a bathroom depending on the average size not a master bedroom size, I charge hourly 25 dollars and hour is what I get down here in fla. depending on where your at of course that rate can be higher or lower...
