The third book of the Inheritance Trilogy (1st: Eragon, 2nd: Eldest) by Christopher Paolini will be the last book of the series still to be released. You find more info on the new book from the author's interview.

i dunno but i don't really care either. if you wanna know what is going to happen in the last eragon book, just go watch star wars because it is pretty much the exact same story. he just added dragons and uses real swords instead of light sabers...
