Men will be men. My father in law is the most sweet, kind man in the world and yes he has checked me out. It was all very innocent and he would never do anything to make me feel uncomfortable. And yes I did tell my husband and my mother in law and we all had a good laugh about it.

If this has happened to you, I don't think you need to tell your husband, what can he do? Yell at his Dad," quit checking out my wife?!!!" More than likely that wont happen, it will just make things awkward. Besides, if the Dad didn't make any advances and was just looking at you up and down, you have no idea exactly what he was thinking. Maybe he didn't approve of the outfit you had on.

My father in law has never checked me out. But if he did,I think i would let it slide the 1st time, and say something the next time. But make sure you have some type of proof.

Yes he has. he was over to fix the sink and i had just got out of the shower and only had a towel on. i reacted by bending over to pick something up off the floor and he went wild and pushed my head in the corner and raped me from behind at first i hated him for it but liked the way he did it now we are having an affair. and i have not told hubby i don't want to ruin a good thing.

Eww! I don't know and I don't think I WANT to know if he had. Checking someone out is one thing but actually flirting or getting too close is another so it really depends. I mean after all, all men can't help but check a woman out. It's in their nature! Telling your husband his fathers been "checking you out" will just cause drama but if your FIL makes you feel uncomfortable, tell the FIL. Tell him when he eye's you, it makes you feel uncomfortable and your husband will start feeling that way too soon so ask him to please stop! Be upfront!

No, and that would just be gross! However, I was never around my father-in-law except for once when my boys were little. Should I feel left out?

That's never happened with my father-in-law. The very thought of it makes me physically ill. My in-laws live in another state so we don't see each other very often.

people check people out - it may be what you're wearing, it could be other things. I wouldn't make any big deal about it unless it happens all of the time and makes you feel uncomfortable.
