I used to see ghosts in my bedroom. One time I awoke in the middle of the night and there was a man sitting in a chair next to my bed, and another time I woke up and there was a man standing in my doorway. For a long time I thought that I was just dreaming this, but years later my sister told me that that one night when I saw the man in the doorway, when I started screaming, she woke and saw a figure running from my room into the bathroom across the hall. I get chills and tear up just thinking about it!

Yes. A couple of close friends and I had a.. bizarre encounter once.. It was at a very old church on the end of the pier. A cold wind came over and suddenly I was alone looking at a luminous young brunette girl in a magnificent white dress, standing by a cliff-edge. She was crying and looking straight at me, and in an instant I could feel all of her sadness as if it were my own.. I started crying too.. and before I knew it there was a bright white light and she was gone. I looked around and J, the gal that was with us was on the floor crying and M my best mate at the time, was staring at me mouth wide open. We ran. It was a very emotional night.

It turns out upon later research that there used to be lots of bad things going on around there.. It was a hideout for pirates, and a brothel used to be nearby.. The church had such powerful energy, I cannot describe it. I don't think it was good at all. Ghosts tend to be unfufilled beings with nothing but memories and regrets.. Its very sad, I wanted to help her more than anything. I went there with a old protective talismen [a turkish all-seeing-eye charm: it's believed to see all, including that which is hidden, and it can scare off malevolant spirits] a month or so later to sit and contemplate. I was grasping it tightly in my hand and as I got to the top of the hill on the pier I saw a luminous white stone and it started glowing.. In a flash the talismen went flying out of my hands onto the dark floor. It was too much for me and I sprinted.. I could swear that whatever energy was there it wanted me. I looked back and saw her again. I must have fainted as the next thing I know its morning and I'm laying there with the talismen in my hand again.

It was an incredible experience like nothing I've ever known, but I never went back there at night again! :P I still remember exactly how she looked and what she was wearing. So pretty and sad... *sigh*

You're going to think I'm making this up, but I actually worked in a grocery store that was built on top of a graveyard. Rumor had it that they moved all of the bodies that they could get permission to move, but the rest they just left buried (doubt that part is really true, but it is spooky). I saw a few weird (yet explainable) things happen--seeing someone running up the stairs then disappearing, hearing weird sounds. One of my friends, though, saw the "woman in red," a woman dressed in a circa 1900's red dress walking down the aisle. And after the store had been cleared out one night, the manager, who was alone and counting the safe, heard his name spoken in a really loud voice just behind him--with no one there. The store closed, and after the building sat idle for many years, a (I'm not making this up) mortuary took over the building--there is another graveyard next to the store site.

My boyfriend lived in a haunted house once. A number of things happened such as wardrobe doors opening and slamming shut (very loudly) in the middle of the night, loud sighs and strong smells of cigarette smoke (no one smoked), someone pushed past his mum on the stairs and there were footsteps heard all the time when there was no one else home. Items such as keys got moved all the time and put in really bizarre places that no human would ever move them to. Once they moved house, they didn't experience anything like that again.

well I dont know if it is that spooky but it was to us!! my hubby and I went to dunster castle for a halloween night..to visit grounds and castle etc! when about half way round castle we were taken to a room called the blue kitchen or similar name!My hubby had to sit down about 3 mins in as he felt very sick and he looked like pooh!! We were told by the guy who was telling us about the castle that several members of staff who had been in that room will not go back in as it has a really eary feel to it . One boy who worked there saw a foot (no body attached to it) coming towards him and apparently left and never came back!! This room really upset my hubby ..he went so quiet and pale! when we left that room and went downstairs the sickness immediately lifted! we have always believed in ghosts and now we know for surethat they are out there!!
