i often search ebay.com for similar articles sold on there recently. even the ones up for sale might be a guide as to value.

Go through the yellow pages for antiques dealers then call them and ask if they would be interested looking at your collection.
They usually come round to your house and they just offer a price if they're interested. But be prepared to haggle x

Try taking them to an auction, not to sell just to be priced up there will always be someone with knowledge on antiques at an auction!

auction sites are great but a reputable appraiser is better if you are looking to sell them the web site is best if your looking for insurance reasons then the local appraiser is your better bet as he can right you values for your insurance company

you could go on site which are auction sites or to an auction where valuers and the auctioneer him/herself will value it, depending on how old it is and who made it also what it is made of.....
