Hey nothing wrong with a Tracer, I drove a Tracer long after the warrenty ran out on a junky Kia (which would be a huge mistake to buy) . Check classifieds or junk yards or just talk it up & you'll find one. Good Luck...

I agree with the first answer.... Mercury Tracers are crap. Almost like Nova's or Gremlin's. Put yourself and it out of your misery. Hey, get a Kia. I know here in SC, sometimes if you purchase one Kia, you get another one for free. No kidding.

examine the straightforward stuff, and may have already. replace the gas filter out and drain the old one into some thing to study the usual of the gas. eliminate the air filter out and seek for a rat nest or squirrel nest. This has befell allot to sitting autos. each thing there seems sturdy then unplug the rubber hose going to the brake booster and squirt carburetor cleanser in the hose going to the engine no longer allot. attempt to crank it up. if it begins your no longer getting gas. next examine gas stress. i could not discover the spec yet its going to be in the 35-40 psi variety. in case your gas stress seems ok the you'll favor to get a noid gentle and un plug between the injectors. installation the most superb noid gentle crank over the engine and note if it flashes on and rancid. once you've spark, air can get in the engine and air can exhaust out of the engine and consider were given gas stress and consider were given a noid gentle flashing. Then i'd assume your injectors are clogged with dirt. in case you discover that to be the case, eliminate the rail, pull out the injectors and turn them the different way up and wash them out with carburetor cleanser. desire you discover it
