A loud siren Will go off and a laser drops out of the ceiling and vaporises all of your clothes . Surveillance camera pictures of you naked holding a bad check will then be on the front page of the paper the next day.

Not really, but if the account is closed you are breaking the law.

A very nice young lady that I know just spent 60 days in jail for this and paid several thousand dollars in fines.

Love and blessings Don

If they use Telecheck or one of those systems (and I would think check cashing stores would), they will check and know right then and not take the check. If not, when it comes back to them from your bank in a few days stamped "closed account", you will get a notice in the mail giving you a very short time to pay the money back plus fees before they turn it over to the worthless check division for prosecution. It' s a criminal act, and at the very least, it will cost you triple the amount you wrote the check for, and at the very worst, jail time. Don't do it.

The check cashing places all use verification software which will verify the validity of the bank account, not available funds. If the account is closed it will be known. If it does go through, it will be a felony. Fraudulent account. They have cameras and such too.....and sometimes in the case of a personal check have you place a thumbprint on the back of the check. All for future prosecution purposes.

i'm not sure what will happen when you try to cash yor own check out of a closed account... they prob won't let you do anything... if you write someone else a check from your closed account they won't be able to cash it either... and they might even get a charge for a returned check!

You'll go to jail. Writing a check on a closed account is a felony, and if you write a check to someone else and have them cash it they can go to jail to, especially if they know your account is closed.

Chances are if they get busted they will sell you out to save thier own hide. I wouldn't reccomend it.

The check may gpt hrough the check cashing place however it will get denied by the bank and you will be responsible for fees from the bank and fees from the check cashing place. Don't do it you will be in a big mess.

your checking account has been closed? they have ways of checking the funds, Im sure. I would have someone else cash it for you.. they do charge a fee for personal checks, but Im pretty sure they will cash them... although cashing a check on an account that has been closed is illegal.

First of all what you are trying to do is illegal. You are knowingly trying to get cash that isn't available to you which in other words is called stealing. Second of all, they will call your bank and verify if there is money in the account.

It's called passing bad check and they can put you in jail for that...ask my brother he had to spend 6 moths for doing that nonsense...Are you a thief? Because that what it amounts to...there are other alternative...take out a pay day loan...it is not the greatess thing but at least it is honest.

They will put a warrant out for your arrest and then you'll have to go to court or jail and pay for the check, an insufficient funds fee, court costs, bail and a fine. Not a good idea dear.
