Tell everyone to get over it, they have a choice if they play for Ireland or not so deal with it. Get rid of 'Ireland's call' and be done with it. Northern Ireland want all the benefits of England and then moan when they are reminded that that are part of Britain.
Yawn!!

Yes! What a fantastic idea! While we're at it, I'm British and I think it's about time we stopped all this nonsense and formed an international representative outfit from the Kingdom of Mercia as well as Anglia. The French international team should be broken up into seperate kingdoms too; Francia and Gaul etc. - in fact, sod it, rename France Germany and put Oliver Kahn in charge of the national side; Italy should be renamed Rome, for simplicity and the Scots should play two teams - the Picts and the Scots. Wales isn't a country so it should never have been in the tournament in the first place so it should be stripped of its past titles, removed from the competition and replaced by "The Kingdom of Aragon" (a Catalan team comprising mainly players from around Perpignan and Barcelona). All of Wales' titles should be rendered, without exception, to Londinium's team who will claim to have rightfully won them and rewrite history to exclude all reference to Wales. Not that there is much reference to Wales in history.

Finally, in order to overcome problems with national identity in Ireland and Northern Ireland, both should be united into one country called "Ireland" and to accomodate the Northern Irish who will have to give up their British passports and other English stuff, the Irish national anthem should be changed to God Save the Queen. Everything else in Ireland will become Irish. So Man Utd. supporters will all have to move to Manchester.

Given that England will now be represented by four 'new national' teams - Mercia, Anglia, Londinium and The United States of Cornwall - they won't need God Save the Queen anymore but the Irish, on the other hand, will need a Queen and I propose they crown Brian O'Driscoll "Queen of Ireland" after his handbag theatrics at Murrayfield on Saturday when he apparently attempted to thrust the fear of god into the Scottish forwards by flailing his hands and frowning mysteriously.

No definetely not, I think this would be a massive step backwards. The republic of Ireland soccer team only exists because of political tensions and the creation of a republic of Ireland rugby team would be terrible
