i have 15 years military service, 18 years professional doorman, and 3 years as a bouncer. i am now unemployed and looking for work in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran or States, i am a comitted and capable person who is willing to work for the experience. this is not a fly by night job for me as its something i have always wanted to do, but never had the time. now i have the time but dont have the finances. the average PBA (Professional Bodyguard Association) licence cost around £3500, that includes firearms training, but does not include body armour and extras like uniforms and different dree types for different occasions. i would be prepared to work off this money for whoever is prepared to give this chance.

There are many companies that will give bodyguard training, what is important is the SIA Front Line Operative Close Protection Licence. Why did you not use your Resettlement money to fund the course? I do not know of any companies that will sponsor you to do this, however if you speak with your Local Enterprise Group, you may be able to get an interest free Business Start up Loan.

Be aware that many security courses on the market aren't worth the paper they are written on, so choose carefully, it's a lot of money. Also, you will not receive live firearms training in the UK from any course. I have a contact for this in Swindon should you want to get in touch.
